The benefits of a simple Lash Lift -

Updated: Jun 1, 2020

Are you sick of curling your lashes and putting on mascara only to find a few hours later that its gone all over your eyes… Been there, and it gets pretty frustrating. Especially when you buy a waterproof mascara, do a workout only to find its not waterproof and has run down your face. Such a nightmare!

It can be a love hate relationship using mascara. It can get so messy and when you have smaller lashes its hard to get the curler in there without clipping your eyes.

Thankfully someone came up with the brilliant idea of a vegan friendly safe way to perm your lashes. In a simple 60 minute treatment you can get the lashes you’ve always wanted without the fuss of lash curlers and mascara.

At LC Brows and Beauty we use Elleebana which is a curetly free brand and offers great results with the lash lift serum making sure not to damage your lashes in the process.

So how does a lash lift work?

First step to your lash lift is a quick consultation with your technician to make sure you have no allergies or contradictions for this easy treatment. After this we separate your bottom lashes from your top lashes using a nourishing collagen eye pad. We then apply a light silicone rod to your eyelid close to your lashes using a safe and gentle adhesive (similar to what is used for lash extensions). The same adhesive is used to curl your lashes up onto the rod. Here is where eye-safe perming solution is applied. The perm solution acts as a softener so that's going in and softening the bond of your hair so that it's moldable. Perming solution is left on for 6 to 12 minutes depending on the thickness of your lashes. After that the setting solution is applied for another 5-6 minutes. This contains a nourishing component and locks in the shape of your lashes.

After removing the setting solution with a cotton bud, we flush your lashes out with some warm water and apply a tint to your lashes for a further 10 minutes. This makes your lashes pop like they have mascara on them!!

How often do I need to get a lash lift?

We usually recommend our clients come in at the eight-ten week mark for a redo.

What happens is all the hairs have now been shaped to be lifted and as they shed naturally, a straight one will grow in behind it. Some people need them sooner, some need them longer it just depends on your lash cycle.

How much is a lash lift?

Lash lifts at LC Brows and Beauty are only $70 and this includes a tint, which is super affordable for a lift that lasts up to and beyond six weeks. I've found lash lifts are more affordable than extensions, and easier to maintain (you dont have to do anything to them once the lift is done)!!

Can I wear mascara after having my lift done?

You can wear mascara.

Because it's just your natural lashes being curled, you're free to use whatever eye makeup you wish. You just have to wait 24 hours.

What do I need to do to prepare for my appointment?

I would recommend coming to your appointment with no mascara on, or makeup around your eyes as it will need to be removed and will take time out of your appointment. If your want your lashes to be longer before your appointment you can always use a lash serum leading up to your appointment. Although it takes a few months to work. You can always use a lash serum while you have your lashes lifted as well.

So what are you waiting for!! Come and try it for yourself!! Its painless, only takes 60 minutes and you will leave looking like you have mascara on! You'll be addicted to the low maintenance life style!
