MICROBLADING Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup referred to as eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow feathering, or soft tap. Natural-looking hair strokes are created on the skin to imitate the look of real, fluffy brows. Microblading alone will not replicate the look of brow makeup, as you will see skin between each hair stroke.

Microblading is not for very oily, combo (oily on forehead), creased (on forehead), or very sensitive skin. Microblading is also best suited for clients with evenly-distributed brow hair. Microblading will need maintenance every 1-2 years. All brow services begin with important paperwork, brow mapping, and colour selection, perfectly tailored to your brow needs. Numbing cream is used at the beginning and throughout the treatment for your comfort. Treatment takes roughly two hours for Microblading alone. BEST SUITED FOR : Dry - Normal Skin TREATMENT TIME & SESSIONS: 2-3 Hours (two sessions)

Powder brows is a slightly newer semi-permanent brow technique that creates a soft, powdered look that subtly fills in your brow. Powder brows last alot longer than Microblading. Anywhere from 2-4 years, meaning less touch ups needed. Causes less damange to the skin over time. Powder brows is best for those with oily skin as Microblading alone will not last. Great option if you fill in your brows each day.

BEST SUITED FOR : All skin types Combination brows is the use of Microblading and Powder together. (again Microblading is not ideal as it wont last well if you have overly oily skin and big pores). BEST SUITED FOR : Dry-Normal

Q&A

Q: Does it hurt? A: Most clients describe the sensation as painless or minimal to slight discomfort. Topical anesthetic is applied after 5 minutes and absorbed quickly so the area is numb during the procedure for the client’s comfort. Q: How long do the procedures take? A: The procedures length depends on the client’s needs and brow scenario. From either end of the spectrum, you can estimate anywhere from 2-3 hours. Q: How long does the healing process take? A: The skin is not considered to be completely HEALED until after 30 days of a full cycle of cellular regeneration, but your procedure areas will appear and feel normal within 7-10 days. Q: Are there any limitations after having the procedure? A: You will be given a post procedure care sheet after your brows have been done further explaining the healing process. In short, 7-10 days after the procedure you should avoid things like water, saunas, steam rooms, chlorine, certain chemical face products, brow pencil, etc. After the brows are fully healed, there are no limitations. The pigment is smudge proof and you can resume your regular activities. Sunscreen is recommended to prevent fading! Q: How long do the semi-permanent brows last? A: Depending on the care and your body chemistry, brows can last up to 2 years with Microblading and over 2 years with Powder Brows. Touch ups after one year are recommended to keep the shape and the colour looking fresh (2 years for powder brows).

Q&A Q: Are there side effects? A: Like any medical or cosmetic procedure, everyone has a risk of reaction. Allergic reactions or rash caused by the pigment or anesthetic is uncommon, but possible. If the area is not cared for properly, following the procedure, infection or scarring is also a slight risk. Q: When will I see results? A: The results are immediate. Although it does take 3-10 days for the initial healing process, followed by 30 days for the pigment to fully incorporate (this is when pigment will fade and lighten). Q: Will my brows fade? A: There will be slight fading, after 3-6 weeks of healing, the colour you see is most likely the colour it will remain. Touch ups or colour boosts are recommended over time. NOTE: Individuals with oily skin will most likely need touchups more frequently. Q: Are there different colour options? A: Of course! Each client receives a custom experience from me - from brow shape, hair growth pattern, to colour of the pigment. The colour is based on your natural (or preferred hair colour) and can easily be altered to an appropriate shade. Q: Is the procedure and pigment safe? A: Yes. It has been proven safe through time. Tattooing has been done for hundreds of years. Microblading techniques have been popular in Asia for the past 30 years and has been practiced all over the world. It is becoming more accessible and common.
